Tencha is the class of tea leaf cultivated typically to be stone-ground into Japanese matcha powder. The very same mindful efforts are poured into the harvest of these premium-grade Tencha tea leaves – and annually only a portion and reserved for use as a loose-leaf or tea-bag format.
Our Cold Brew Tencha is a means to enjoy a steeped green tea with many of the merits of the highest quality Japanese matcha powder; naturally high in antioxidants, L-theanine, and with a bit of caffeine (about 30mg/g).
What is Mizudashi Style? The Perfect Summer Brew
In Japan, Mizudashi style is a special way to brew green tea in cold water. Ideal for the summer (but fit for year-round), the process brings out more of the sweeter flavors rather than the more astringent tannins – resulting in a refreshing + healthy cup of cold brew tencha!
Serving Size, Total Servings, and How to Brew
Cold Brew Tencha contains 12 x 6g (2.54oz) sachets of tencha tea leaves. Many choose to brew the tea bags more than once, and a single brew can serve more than 4 x 8oz servings of tencha green tea.
Recommended Servings: This product contains at least 48 x 4oz servings. Directions: Place one or two tea bags in 1L (~33oz) of water and refrigerate overnight. Pour and enjoy!
