The Health benefits of Vegan Matcha Ice cream
Ice cream is by far one of the most delicious and easy ways to enjoy the flavor and health boosting benefits of matcha – and turns a normally guilt-inducing treat into something sweet that is surprisingly very healthy for you! Did we mention that studies have shown that matcha is virtually calorie-free, increases your caloric burn by revving up your metabolism, and it specifically targets fat to burn.
And if you tend to gravitate to iced coffee drinks for an afternoon pick-me-up, why not try out some vegan cashew matcha ice cream instead? Matcha has natural caffeine in it but it comes without the jitters or crash associated with coffee due to its high l-theanine content, which helps you feel focused yet relaxed.

5 EASY STEPS TO MAKING VEGAN CASHEW MATCHA ICE CREAM
*Time From prep to serve: 4 Hours*
Step 1) Blend together the dry ingredient base other than matcha. Grind cashews to fine powder in a blender, stopping and stirring with a chopstick occasionally.
Step 2) Add water and matcha. Blend on high for 2-3 minutes. Add salt and sugar and blend. Add matcha and blend for at least another 30 seconds to a minute.
Step 3) Pour mixture into the bowl of your ice cream machine. Allow mixture to churn until the base has thickened to a consistency between malt-milkshake and soft-serve ice cream. This usually takes around 20 minutes, depending on your specific ice-cream machine.
Step 4) Transfer your thickened ice cream to a freezer-friendly container, pressing a piece of parchment, wax, or plastic wrap to the surface of your ice cream to prevent ice crystals from forming.
Step 5) Wait at least four hours until serving. Enjoy!
