Organic Sencha Tatsuyama 100g bag
This year's Sencha Tatsuyama is one of the best batches we've ever sampled. This truly is the epitome of organic Japanese sencha, as it's incredibly rare to get quality this high without conventional farming.
BREWING: Add 2g of tea leaves + 170ml (~5oz) at ~158°F (70°C) for 1-2 mins
Organic Koushun Oolong 60g bag
The highly aromatic “Koshun” cultivar is known for its outstanding compatibility in being processed into a lightly oxidized tea. This is a strong oolong tea which is high in antioxidant activities, which are amplifed due to grasshoppers biting the tea leaves.
The tea leaves release natural healing compounds to protect themselves. During processing, the tea leaves are oxidated which interacts with the protective compounds to create a honey-like fragrance referred to as “Mikkō” in Japanese. It is no exaggeration to call this oolong a “wonder tea” considering the peculiar utilization of nature in this way.
Maruhi Seicha Benihikari 30g bag
Benihikari is a leading cultivar used for the production of "black" teas in Japan. This farm is 100% pesticide-free. Benihikari is a fully oxidized black tea with a gentle flavor and deep aroma that is highly sought for the naturally delicious flavor notes, including a menthol-like flavor characteristic of the Benihikari tea.
It also has notable floral and sweet aromas, producing an orange brew with little astringency.
HOW TO BREW THESE TEAS:
Place 3g of tea leaves per serving in a kyusu or teapot.
