What Can you Add Matcha to?

Perhaps most encouraging is that most of us already have a regular healthy eating routine, say a smoothie or daily green juice – you should know that adding matcha is just a scoop away for virtually any daily staple.

One great example is chia pudding, many of us rely on the dense nutrition of chia seeds for a delicious boost to our regular nutritional health.

Chia pudding is a convenient way of increasing your daily intake of fiber, proteins, omega-3 fatty acids, and a long list of key vitamins. Also, similar to the nutritional properties of matcha tea powder, chia seeds are an excellent choice for minerals like calcium, manganese, magnesium, and phosphorus.

That makes Matcha Chia pudding an obvious choice for skin health, gut health, and overall healthy lifestyles.

The Best way of How to Eat Chia Seeds and Increase Daily Matcha Intake

Chia pudding is super quick to make, and can enjoy a total upgrade by adding matcha green tea. Matcha’s umami flavor can help reduce the need for sweetener, and taken together, a matcha chia pudding is like a supercharged boost of amino-acids, all-day energy, and key micro nutrients.

Chia seeds actually have all essential amino-acids for human health. Matcha tea has a near-complete range of essential amino-acids as well, helping to make your daily intake even easier.

Furthermore, by adding matcha to your chia pudding, you’re also able to enjoy the benefits of non-essential amino acids. These include L-theanine, a unique amino-acid found in matcha which is often reported for brain boosting effects.

Stone-ground Matcha powder for Chia Pudding

Also, while it’s optional to grind your chia seeds, if you’re doing a matcha chia recipe, it’s essential to choose a stone-ground matcha powder.

Premium matcha should be a very fine powder which should blend seamlessly to your matcha chia pudding.

Ceremonial Matcha Chia Seed Recipe

Out of all the chia seed recipes out there, this has to be our favorite. Remember, it’s optional to grind your chia seeds, but when you’re adding matcha it’s critical to choose a stone-ground green tea powder. Look for matcha tea powder from Japan, especially prized regions such as Uji.

  3. Add chia seeds all at once and mix for about 30-45 seconds until the pudding begins to thicken
  4. Enjoy within 15 minutes, or refrigerate overnight for a delightful breakfast matcha pudding.

Picking a matcha for your chia pudding

You might be wondering whether you should use matcha, or green tea for your chia pudding. It’s important to remember that green tea is not always the same as matcha; real matcha has to be grown in special ways that normal green tea plants are not.

Matcha Chia Pudding vs. Green Tea Chia Pudding

That very difference is why matcha has robust, high levels of important brain boosting compounds, and critical antioxidants which are reported for longevity, skin and beauty health, and overall well being.

Closing thoughts – Vibrant Green Chia Pudding with Matcha

Also, if you used regular green tea for your matcha pudding, it would not have that vibrant, emerald green color. Nor would it have that delicious, savory natural flavor that matcha is renowned for.

Also good to keep in mind: matcha might be the most concentrated form of green tea, but it’s thought to be safe to enjoy as much as you like. That means you may have a matcha chia pudding alongside other matcha preparations, as often as your busy lifestyle calls for!
