Tea Scoop Chashaku | Bamboo Matcha Scoop

I am enjoying using the Chashaku Tea Scoop for more than one reason. It measures the matcha powder to just the right amount, and it's made of a natural material...bamboo! I could use a teaspoon instead...and I did for a while...but this bamboo scoop does the measurement quickly and accurately enough...and it's a lot more fun to use. I feel as though I am more in touch with a long-standing tradition that goes back many hundreds of years. This is the way Japanese have made matcha, for a very long time. I can imagine drinking my matcha in another much earlier century...and using the same bowl, and the bamboo whisk...and now the bamboo Chashaku as well! I'm not Japanese, but I still enjoy honoring this wonderful tradition.

Love using this to measure my tea.

fits nicely into Matcha foil bags with long handle ,, I'm keeping it dry for just scooping ordered first scoop year ago used for stiring hot Matcha but it gets ruined and gives odd taste so keeping second for dry scooping and keeping in fridge in zip baggie ...

Cool item! Bought two as backup

Easy to use never have to worry about measuring again.
