What is matcha beer?
Earlier this year, one of our team Matcha.com members visited Japan and tried matcha beer in a cool and cozy izakaya. She watched as the bartender got some Japanese draft beer from the tap and poured in their homemade match syrup concoction, creating an authentic Japanese matcha beer!
What does matcha beer taste like?
After hearing this story, and how the Japanese matcha beer tasted so light and harmonious (”The bubbly, bitter beer with the earthy, umami matcha just made sense!”), we knew we had to try it for ourselves. Our matcha beer recipe is something every matcha lover and beer lover needs to try making (then drinking ASAP), especially today!
