I enjoy using this sifter because it fits very nicely over my matcha bowl, it's not too big and not too small, it's just right. I measure the amount of matcha I want to use, then give it a few gentle taps on the sides of the sifter. Any tiny lumps of matcha that are sometime left quickly vanish with a few soft taps or gentle rubs of a spoon or measuring device. Any tiny "lumps" of matcha that might remain in the sifter are always quite soft, and easily disappear with gentle assistance. Sometimes a little moisture might get into the matcha if it remains in the freezer without something in it to absorb the moisture. I try to keep the little moisture absorbing packet that comes with it inside the container, to continue keeping it as fresh as possible.
