Organic Japanese Black Tea - Benifūki Cultivar Wakōcha
This Japanese black tea was developed in the late 1900s by crossing Japanese Green Tea with the Camellia Assamica cultivar, which is better known as the variety producing Assam Black Teas.
This black tea produces a reddish infusion with a full body and fruity notes of apples and plum. "Wakōcha" comes from the literal meaning of "Japanese Black Tea;" this is a purely grown, organic black tea which has been harvested under the greatest care to produce an energizing effect – wonderful for the morning or mid-day. Enjoyable without sweetener.
