On top of matcha’s goodness and glory that it provides as is, one of our beloved matcha lovers, Emily Wada, decided to create something loaded with even more added benefits: her vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free matcha protein bars! Yes, everything healthy, and everything delicious!!
Taking matcha alone has so many benefits on its own already. It’s a clean, jitter-free energy source, loaded with antioxidants that’s proven to put you in a better mood. There are so many more good things to say about it, and you can learn about it here.
This matcha protein bar recipe contains vanilla protein powder, which adds an extra boost of protein to an already nutritious snack. Protein powder can help build and repair muscles, aid in weight loss, and provide a longer-lasting feeling of fullness. It definitely makes for the perfect pre- or post-workout snack, and maybe just a mid-day treat with zero guilt.
The ingredients in this recipe are dairy-free, gluten-free, and vegan! On top of all the benefits from the matcha green tea and protein powder, these protein bars are health-packed and guilt-free too. As for the recipe, it’s very simple and straightforward. No baking is required. It’s all a matter of mixing, chilling, cutting, and eating! Follow the quick recipe below, and be done in no time.
