What you’ll love about this drink

This simple recipe gives you everything you want with nothing you don’t. Oftentimes, store-bought electrolyte drinks are packed full of artificial colors and/or artificial sugars. Plus, they don’t end up tasting all that great. Coconut water mixed with matcha tea powder is a simple and easy way to boost your energy while also making sure you’re staying properly hydrated. Perfect for long days when you’re active (especially if you’re outdoors) or even for when you’re fighting off a cold.

What’s in it?

Homemade electrolyte drink

Matcha tea powder- There are a few different types of matcha you can choose. Our mango matcha powder would be delicious as would our original ceremonial grade matcha powder. If you’d like to up your dose of electrolytes, you can also opt for our Matcha-Aid, which is specifically formulated with electrolytes, vitamins and adaptogens. If using the mango matcha or our ceremonial matcha, just be sure to sift before adding to your coconut water.

Coconut water- Coconut water is great at restoring proper hydration and is high in several vitamins and minerals. Studies show that coconut water is more hydrating than regular water. Just don’t confuse coconut water for coconut milk!

Maple syrup- Add just a touch of sweetness to your drink. But this is totally optional and customizable. Add as much or as little as you’d like.

Lemon or lime- A squeeze of citrus makes this drink extra refreshing. You can even use a combination of both lemon AND lime.
